From Cradle to Cross 2009
Beginning this Friday, December 11, at 7:00 p.m. at University Heights Baptist Church, “From Cradle to Cross” will be presented. The greatest story ever told is shared this year by an WWII soldier at the Battle of the Bulge. Having been mortally wounded, he is able to share the story of Jesus with the medic who comes to his aid. Little did that medic know, this was a divine appointment and he needed that wounded soldier to help heal his soul.
The production has five performances thoughout the weekend. Check www.uhbc.net for more information.
Here are some of the images you will see:
Come experience the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus! You will leave changed!
Brandi – Class of 2010
Last weekend we did Brandi’s Sr. pictures. Brandi’s theme was 80’s rock as you will soon see. We had a blast and I think she did too … here are a few of our favorites:
We found some cool new locations! Check out these awesome abandoned RR tracks…
and she was totally on board with trying out some “unconventional” lighting!
Brandi was great in keeping with her theme, but we were able to get her to break character every now and then…
and a final one – can’t forget the lettterman…
Thanks for looking! Great job Brandi!
2010 Graduate – Katie!
Last Saturday we spent a couple of cold (sorry Katie!!!) hours with Katie at the State Park. She was totally a trooper and you can barely make out the goose bumps on her! Here are some of our favorites from the editing so far:
I thought that all that time in shorts and bare feet might have done her in, but she kept on going! Awesome!
We called it a day when we lost our light and we couldn’t feel our toes anymore!
Thanks Katie! We had a great time!
Lizzie – Senior 2010!
Lizzie was our next AOA senior and we had a great time photographing her! We did a lot in Elkins Lake, and then went to the downtown Huntsville square area. Here are some of my favorites:
It’s always fun to have a friend with you on a shoot!
what’s a girl without her phone?
Then we moved from Elkins to the square…
and created a legacy … you’ll have to ask Lizzie about that…
and I’ll end with one of my favorites … just really sweet …
Thanks Lizzie! You’re beautiful!
Kelly – Class of ‘10
We spent some time with Kelly – a Senior at AOA last weekend. Kelly is a golfer as you’ll see, so we started at Elkins Lake golf course.
Then we moved over to the Sam Houston campus …
Thanks for looking!
The Farris Family
Last weekend we got to spend an afternoon with the Farris family. We had a great time on the Sam Houston State University campus and around the square in downtown Huntsville. We even got to take photos around their family log cabin!
Here are a few images from our session:
The family consists of Mom & Dad
and 2 daughters…
awe, aren’t they a cute family?!?
It wasn’t all work, work, work … there were some lighthearted moments!
Gotta love the out-takes!
last one…
Thanks Farris Family!
Eddie & Stephanie – the Reception and Beach Party!
Well, it’s bittersweet, but here is the last blog entry about Eddie & Stephanie’s wedding – this great event took place at the Hotel Galvez in Galveston, Texas.
After the wedding ceremony on the Front Lawn of the Galvez, the party moved inside the Hotel to enjoy the world famous Sunday Brunch. Here are a few images to give you a feel for that part of the day …
this little guy was enamored with Stephanie…
Then it was time for the first dance … accompanied by Carol and her ensemble …
and I love this one of the paparazzi surrounding them!
Then outside for the bouquet toss … and catch …
a few last images from the reception…
and then out to the tagged van…
Then … BEACH PARTY!!!!!!
okay, one of the 2 of us …
and they lived happily ever after …
Thanks for re-living this day with me! I hope you enjoyed it!
Eddie & Stephanie – the Details
A lot of times the details of the wedding go unnoticed… however, hours go into the planning and preparation, and I think they should be captured – if nothing more than to look back and say, “hmm, I never noticed that…”
So, here are some of the details from Eddie & Stephanie’s special day…
Stephanie continued a long standing tradition of having her name sewn into her dress – this used be done on all gowns, but the tradition has sort of slipped away… this label was her “something blue” …
and the earrings next to the pearls were her something borrowed – and I’m honored to say that they were borrowed from me…
these starfish were made into hairpins by Eddie … you’ll see them in some of the photos of Stephanie…
her bouquet was amazing!
and the reception was beautiful – and the guests received a specially boxed cupcake!
Stephanie’s friend, Carol Morgan, was the special music – wow, she can really play that trumpet!
and I’ll close with another of my favorite ring shots …
The next post will be the final one in this series and it will be of the reception and beach party - stay tuned… thanks for looking!
Eddie & Stephanie – Bridals and Formals
During the day of the wedding, we had the opportunity to take some Bridal portraits of the beautiful Stephanie…
I’ll just let these speak for themselves
We got Eddie involved too!
And the rest of the fam…
Thanks for looking! Next up, wedding details!
